Health is the destination of a journey that starts with prevention, knowledge and the adoption of behaviours and habits that promote psychophysical wellbeing: a continuous journey of awareness, self-care and attention to others.
This is the key message of Destinazione Salute, a prevention event that the San Donato Group is organising in collaboration with the 24 ORE Group on Sunday 29 June in Milan.
This is a free event, open to all, during which specialists from the Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio Hospital, the San Donato Polyclinic and the San Raffaele Hospital will address a series of fundamental issues for the quality of life in a popular and accessible manner: from heart health, with meetings on how to recognise and prevent emergencies, including those related to cardiac arrhythmias, to sporting activity, with meetings dedicated to injury prevention, managing anxiety and stress in sports performance, and nutritional aspects; from mental wellbeing, with meetings dedicated to the relationship between sleep and memory and practices to improve concentration, to conscious eating, to understand how diet affects so many aspects of our health - from the heart to the brain, from muscles to sleep. An articulated programme designed to disseminate health culture, where everyone will therefore be able to build a personalised pathway by choosing from the appointments offered throughout the day, following three main themes: heart, mind and sporting activity.
At the same time, the public will be able to take part in various activities designed to promote active prevention: free screening with blood pressure measurement, postural assessment and sleep quality; first aid sessions and yoga sessions to get closer to practices useful for daily well-being. There will also be initiatives dedicated to children, with the Kids Lab, a playful-educational space to train the minds of the youngest through play and creativity.
A special opportunity to learn, experience and discover how health is a precious commodity to be cultivated every day, together.
