To honour his memory and the extraordinary contribution he made to the company and the territory, the Group has decided to suspend all activities starting today and for the entire day tomorrow".
Giuseppe Adolfo De Cecco was the brother of Filippo Antonio De Cecco, who was confirmed at the helm of the De Cecco Group last October 2024. The De Cecco family receives heartfelt condolences from all employees and collaborators, united in the memory of a man who dedicated his life to his work, to his community and to the values that distinguish our company," reads the group's note.
Two centuries of De Cecco pasta
.The history of Pasta De Cecco began in 1831 as a family mill in Abruzzo, but became a pasta factory in 1886 thanks to Filippo Giovanni De Cecco. The founder innovated pasta drying with his patent for a low-temperature system in 1889, allowing more efficient production and better preservation of the quality of the wheat, and brought his product international recognition by winning prizes at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair.
Serious mourning for Pescara sports
'Don Beppe', as the entrepreneur was known in Pescara, was also president of Pescara Calcio. With him at the helm, the team won promotion to Serie A in the 2011-2012 championship.
'A figure of great importance in the history of the Delfino,' the club writes, 'thanks to his initiative, Pescara Calcio was able to rise again in one of the darkest moments of its history. The Biancazzurra fans will always remember him with affection and gratitude.
