Equalize: trial requested for 74 defendants accused of spying on over 800 people

The Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed a major indictment in the ‘clients’ strand of the Equalize investigation, concerning the case of the compilation of dossiers and unauthorised access to law enforcement databases. Among the 74 defendants, following the conclusion of the investigation in April, are Enrico Pazzali, former owner of the private investigation agency; IT expert Nunzio Samuele Calamucci; as well as Giacomo Tortu, brother of sprinter Filippo; banker Matteo Arpe; and Stefano Speroni, Eni’s director of legal affairs. There are 832 alleged victims of spying, including Ricky Tognazzi, Alex Britti, Selvaggia Lucarelli, Fabrizio Corona, Marcell Jacobs, Stefano Boeri and Paolo Scaroni.
