Eur spa: 2025 budget approved, profits and revenues grow. Events at the Nuvola accelerate in 2026

The Shareholders' Meeting of EUR S.p.A. (90% Ministry of Economy and Finance and 10% Roma Capitale), which met today at the company's headquarters in Via Ciro il Grande under the chairmanship of Enrico Gasbarra, unanimously resolved to approve the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025. The company, which manages the real estate assets of the city's historic Eur district and the organisation of congresses and large events in its congress hub of the Nuvola and Palazzo dei Congressi, closed the 2025 financial year with a profit of 7.7 million euros, after recognising a negative tax effect of -1.5 million euros, compared to a result of 7.2 million euros in the 2024 financial year, and a result of 15.3 million euros in the 2023 financial year, which benefited from a positive tax effect of 5.4 million euros.

With reference to economic data, EUR SpA recorded a turnover of EUR 44.4 million, up from EUR 43.8 million in 2024 and EUR 42.7 million in 2023, confirming a stable and progressive growth trend. The Congress and Major Events sector, which is confirmed as one of the main revenue drivers, recorded a turnover in excess of EUR 21.5 million, up from EUR 20.3 million in 2024, thanks to the significant results achieved on the domestic and European markets.

In this regard, as of December 2024, the Company has expanded and integrated its offer in the Congress and Major Events sector through the resumption, after more than twenty years, of the direct management of the Palazzo dello Sport, which it owns. The management of the structure, which hosted over 80 events in 2025, generated revenues of €3.6 million, contributing significantly to the overall increase in turnover. This growth made it possible to mitigate the effects of the expected decrease in the real estate sector, due to the absence of rental revenue from the Palazzo dello Sport and the release of some real estate portions already decided at the end of 2024, which are now being developed. It also compensated for the expected reduction in turnover (-€2.3 million) of the Rome Convention Centre "La Nuvola" and Palazzo dei Congressi conference facilities, which - due to the concomitance with the Jubilee 2025 - recorded a drop in the scheduling of large, high value-added international conferences and events.

The Chairman Enrico Gasbarra, also on behalf of the company's Board of Directors, thanked the shareholders, the Board of Statutory Auditors and all the company's employees, expressing full satisfaction with the results achieved. "EUR SpA confirms itself as a solid company in the balance sheets, in attendance - which exceeded 1.5 million participants in 2025 in our congress facilities and for large events - but also in investments. In fact, in 2026 we will continue the works to modernise the Palazzo dello Sport, begun in 2025, bringing the structure up to the standards of the largest international sports and concert arenas. By the first quarter of 2027," continues Gasbarra, "we will instead have the full availability of the Palazzo dei Congressi, which has been completely restored and re-functionalised to be adapted to market demands in terms of services. Without forgetting the Pond, which, thanks to the investments earmarked and aimed at the protection and environmental recovery of the entire Central Lake Park system," concludes the President of EUR SpA, "will be completely sanitised by the end of 2027.

Full satisfaction also came from the CEO Claudio Carserà, who said: 'We are very satisfied with the results achieved. The company has worked with great determination and a strong unity of purpose. We continue to reap the benefits of the long-term sustainable growth path and the planning, design and implementation of the investments envisaged in the Industrial Plan. In 2025, in line with forecasts, we worked on the implementation of the investment plan for the redevelopment and valorisation of the buildings, which will bring concrete benefits on turnover, with new leases already planned from the end of the 2026 financial year. On the conference side, the year 2026 will see a significant upturn in events at the Roma Convention Center La Nuvola, thanks to the return of the major global association and corporate events, including Vian Vorwerk international Aiwards Night, Milwaukee Tool EMEA, and the Mediterranean Water Forum'.
