According to elaborations on the page The price of petrol, updated daily by Lab24 of Il Sole 24 ore, the average price of petrol on the road network on 26 July 2024 in Italy was 1.854 euro per litre (down from 1.856 the previous day), while on motorways it reached 1.946 (down from 1.947 the previous day). The province where the average daily road price is highest is Nuoro, followed by Messina and Bolzano. It is instead in Sondrio that the average daily road price is lowest, then come Lodi and Ancona.

In general, for those travelling to holiday resorts in Italy, prices are falling at the petrol station. In the latest survey by the Ministry of the Environment (of 22 July) the weekly average is falling: 1.862 euro per litre for petrol (-7.66 cents compared to the previous week), 1.742 for diesel (-8.58 cents). Those, on the other hand, where the disbursement at the pump becomes more exorbitant are Denmark (2.059 euro per litre for green), the Netherlands (1.998), Greece (1.893), Italy (1.862 precisely) and France (1.828).
