Fara (recent Luiss graduate): «I left Italia at 23 and I no longer ask my family for help»
A return to Italia? «No, - she confesses - I'm not thinking about it for now»
«Money is not everything»,Fara repeats several times, but at 25 years old, it certainly makes a difference to have a gross annual salary of between 75,000 and 95,000 Swiss francs, to be able to be completely independent from her family of origin and to do a job she likes, in a stimulating environment where she feels she is part of a growth path, with the right network around her.
Without the thought of asking for money at home for rent, shopping, travel, the gym. When she meets up with friends who work in Italia, the question they often ask is: But how do you live so far away?
On the other hand, Fara, when she thinks of the stories of some of her peers who cannot even pay their rent in Milan, where she herself has lived, thinks: But how do you manage to stay here? Fara is from the Campania region of Mondragone (Caserta), she still retains some of her accent, but by now her language is English as well as French.
Soon she will also speak German, which she is studying since she lives in Basel and wants to integrate into the community and get to know the local culture. Fara has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management from the Luiss University and a Master's degree in Corporate Finance, also from Luiss.
In her history there is a long list of experiences abroad, starting with Erasmus at the University of Maastricht and a first professional experience in Frankfurt, at a financial brokerage firm, which was a real turning point.
