Ferrari 499P, here is the livery for the 2026 season
At the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena, the Maranello brand unveiled the two cars that will defend the Fia Wec Constructors' and Drivers' titles won last year.
Ferrari has unveiled the official livery for the 2026 season that sees it start in the Fia Wec World Championship, after last year winning both the constructors' and drivers' titles with the 499P numbers 50 and 51. The two titles are evident on the arch of the front wheel arches, below the shield with the Prancing Horse, of the two Sport Prototypes entrusted to crews reconfirmed for the fourth consecutive year. The 499P number 50 will be at the start with Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, and the 51 with Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.
The aesthetic livery features the same colours as the F1 single-seater
The 2026 livery of the 499P, signed by the Ferrari Style Centre, features the predominant colour scheme in Rosso Scuderia, this year in the unprecedented shiny finish and no longer matt, the same colours and treatment as the Scuderia Ferrari HP's SF-26 single-seater for the F1 World Championship. Red, the emblem of the racing history of the company founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1947, is once again combined with Modena yellow, a shade used to outline the lines of the bodywork, which in the 2026 season show off, in particular, the volumes of the cars' inner cockpit.
The Ferrari Style Centre has given more centrality to the cockpit of the 499P
Compared to previous versions, the styling is distinguished by the direction of the diagonal yellow lines that form an arrow, an iconic stylistic feature since the car debuted in 2023, which is no longer drawn in the direction of travel, but in the opposite direction, with the tip of the arrow pointing towards the rear wing. This is a choice made by the Ferrari Style Centre to emphasise even more the centrality of the cockpit: not only as a structural and physical element placed at the centre of the car, but also as an area that is highly symbolic for a racing car.
The hybrid powertrain combined with the twin-turbo V6 heat engine is confirmed
The 2026 car does not present any substantial innovations on a technical level and the only Joker introduced since its racing debut remains the one adopted from the Sao Paulo, Brazil, test in July 2024. During the winter break, however, Ferrari worked tirelessly, analysing data and correlating simulator and track to continue to make progress in both the car's behaviour and team operations. The 499P features a hybrid powertrain that combines the twin-turbo V6 mid-rear engine and the electric unit on the front axle.
Eight events with the Imola and Le Mans races at their centre
After having brought back to Maranello in 2025 the constructors' title in endurance racing that had been missing for 53 years, as well as the first drivers' title in the top class of endurance racing, the Ferrari team aims to be competitive in every round in 2026 as well, despite the fact that the scenario on track will be more complex. The Fia Wec 2026 confirms the eight seasonal appointments on the same circuits as the previous two years, with the start of the season only postponed by a month compared to 2025. Central to the reds are the races at Imola on 19 April and the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 13 and 14 June.
