Feudi di San Gregorio, 5 million bond subscribed by Cdp and Finint Investments
The transaction 'is characterised by an innovative financial structure involving a revolving non-possessory pledge on wines in stock as collateral'
Five million for the development of Borgo di San Gregorio, the wine resort inside the winery, and to strengthen its presence on the markets, both in Italy and abroad. This is the purpose of the 5 million loan obtained by Feudi di San Gregorio, an important wine-growing entity in Campania that closed 2024 with a turnover of over 30 million.
This will take place through the underwriting by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Finint Investments of the two bonds, an operation that, according to the two companies, "stands out for its innovative financial structure that envisages a revolving non-possessory pledge on wines in the warehouse as a guarantee," according to which the company will be able to "maintain the availability of the assets subject to the lien with the possibility of replacing them, while continuing to use them in production or business processes". A solution aligned with the needs of the wine sector, "where the warehouse is a strategic asset whose value grows over time as the product ages".
More in detail, a note explains, the issue consists of two tranches: the first, worth EUR 3 million and with a duration of 7 years, was subscribed by Finint Investments through the Fondo PMI Italia III, while the second, worth EUR 2 million and with a duration of 6 years, was subscribed by Cdp.

"At this time of great uncertainty," commented Antonio Capaldo, president of Feudi di San Gregorio, "we need to strengthen the spirit of collaboration with our partners in order to be more solid. This applies to the supply chain, both upstream and downstream, but it also applies to relations with financial institutions. I am grateful to Finint and Cdp for choosing to support us on our path of future growth.
