Luckily there are still episodes of The Day of the Jackal and Dune Prophecy to watch because on paper this month of December has very little to offer. All the fault of Christmas and those marketing managers who are convinced that viewers need Christmas things during the holidays. They don't. Take a survey, ask someone. There is Squid Game, season 2, the most anticipated event of the year, and - hear hear - 100 Years of Solitude, that very hundred years of solitude, from Gabriel García Márquez's immortal novel. My wrists are already shaking.
The Bad Guy - Season 2 - 5 December.
The second season of The Bad Guy with Luigi Lo Casio shows great promise. Season 1 was a perfect synthesis of how an ark comedy can be written even in Italy with the oldest Italian archetypes. (Amazon Prime)
100 Years of Solitude - Season 1 - 11 December
This is one of the most eagerly awaited series on Netflix. Based on Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez's masterpiece, it will have the daunting task of bringing a literary magic that remains unchanged over time to the small screen. Good luck.
Squid Game - Season 2 - 26 December
The return of Squid Game is one of the most anticipated events of the year. The South Korean series conquered the world with its first season and became a global phenomenon. The second season will be much more complicated than the first. (Netflix)
Zorro - Season 1 - 6 December
Zorro is ready to return and win over viewers this time. The hero of Generation X is of a certain age and may not work any more. Lending him his face is a very suitable rogue's face like that of Oscar winner Jean Dujardin. Those who used to dress up as Zorro at carnival as a child will be in front of the screen to cheer him on. (Paramount +)
