From castles to Eroica, magical atmospheres in Chianti Classico

The immersive journey through Chianti, for those arriving from Florence, begins at the San Donato exit of the ring road connecting the capital to Siena. From there you first take the SR 222 Chiantigiana road following the signs for Radda and Gaiole and then follow the continuous ups and downs of the Chianti Road, in a natural scenery that is modelled curve after curve, kilometre after kilometre: woods and green hills, farmhouses and vineyards, small towns and castles. We are in the territory of the Chianti Classico (Black Rooster) and the stereotype of Tuscany made up of gentle hills and dirt roads dotted with cypresses, typical of the Val d'Orcia, is lessened in favour of a wilder and more imposing landscape, very little man-made, but still beautiful.
