Fuel: discounts also available from Tamoil – price caps in place until 31 October
Following Eni, IP and Q8, prices at Tamoil – a company belonging to the international Oilinvest group – will also be capped
Key points
Following in the footsteps of Eni, IP and Q8, Tamoil has also taken action on fuel prices in Italia. The company, which is part of the international Oilinvest group, has decided to adopt ‘a series of measures aimed at reducing the price of fuel sold at its network of branded petrol stations’. The initiative will remain in force until 31 October.
1,510 facilities in Italia
Tamoil operates 1,510 petrol stations in Italia: it is the fourth-largest group in the country in terms of outlets, behind IP (4,575 petrol pumps), Eni (3,847) and Q8 (2,888). The four major oil companies therefore operate a total of 12,820 outlets, out of a total of 21,870.
‘Let us help to mitigate the effects of the current international tensions’
They explain that the initiative forms part of the current extraordinary circumstances brought about by the international situation, which continues to affect the energy markets and the transport sector, with significant repercussions on households’ purchasing power and on the costs incurred by businesses.
“Tamoil reaffirms its commitment to acting as a responsible partner serving the country, its customers and network operators, helping, as far as possible, to mitigate the effects of the current international tensions on the fuel market.”
