It is "one of the most horrific crimes against humanity in modern times," reads a statement, in which Israel is accused of continuing to carry out brutal massacres against defenceless civilians. "In the last twenty days, Israel has committed a shocking act of genocide against children, with 490 children martyred in a series of barbaric attacks. This brings the total number of martyrs during this period to 1,350,' the Islamic militia concludes.
The Israeli army on Sunday evening ordered Palestinians to evacuate several neighbourhoods in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, shortly after about 10 rocketswere fired from Gaza, the largest barrage from the territory since Israel resumed the war. The army said about five were intercepted. Hamas' military arm claimed responsibility.
The Palestinian Red Crescent called for an international investigation into the killing of 15 Palestinian doctors in Gaza last month by the Israeli army.
Police said that a rocket fell in the city of Ashkelon and fragments fell in several other areas. Magen emergency service David Adom said that one man was slightly injured. The army later claimed to have hit a rocket launcher in Gaza.
