Golosaria, which has now come of age, registers a significant growth in exhibitors and the move from MiCo, the exhibition space that has remained close to the city centre, to Rho Fiera: pavilion 5 will host around 450 producers (last year there were less than 300) on 17 thousand square metres of exhibition space and a programme of more than 50 events. The objective is therefore to exceed last year's 30 thousand attendances. A big jump for the annual appointment created by Paolo Massobrio who tomorrow 2 November will kick off the 19th edition (until Monday 4) dedicated to the theme "Territories, Identity and Future".

"The location is the first novelty this year," says Massobrio. The choice is consequent to the desire to offer our exhibitors and visitors a location that reflects our vision of growth and development. The theme, on the other hand, wants to place the focus on territories, because the first laboratory on quality is precisely in the territories custodians of an extraordinary and unique biodiversity. Then we talk about identity because food products are factors in the development of a sense of belonging in the various rural communities. Finally, we look to the future, because the last twenty years have shown that development stems from an awareness of this wealth'.

In the foreground there will be Lombardy, which will field the theme of the Olympic mountains and their agrifood wealth, in view of the Winter Olympics of Milan-Cortina 2026.
The protagonist is also Calabria, which renews its partnership with Golosaria and will set up a space with a selection of producers of food-and-wine specialities, wineries and mixology with the aim of promoting the deseasonalisation of tourism.
Friuli Venezia Giulia strengthens its presence thanks to the work of Promo Fvg, which will bring a circuit of virtuous producers to the fair. The Sicily will turn a special focus on Marsala and Madonie.

Dedicated to the triangulation between wine, culture and tourism is the Vino del Villaggio space, an initiative conceived by the oenologist Donato Lanati "that highlights 21 labels, but also 21 wineries and as many territories to be experienced in the name of wine and food tourism," say the organisers.

A major expansion will concern Mixo, the area dedicated to mixology and cocktails, realised in collaboration with Milan Bartender Community and Compagna dei Caraibi.

Also of note are the collaborations with Grana Padano and the Catholic University. Grana Padano will present an exhibition dedicated to Benedictine monasticism, "because thanks to the ancient knowledge of the monks, agrifood practices were born, such as the preservation of milk through the creation of cheeses with a long maturing period". It is no coincidence that PDO cheeses are still produced today at the Abbey of Chiaravalle on the outskirts of Milan.
The focus with the Università Cattolica will instead be on the themes of the development of wine tourism (but also oil tourism) through the presence of the Academia Symposium di Rodengo Saiano and the presentation of the master's degree course on wine marketing.

"The 2024 edition of Golosaria will see the participation of the owners of the best shops in Italy," add the organisers, "but also 1,600 invited restaurants representing the five categories of the Golosario guide: Restaurants, Trattorie, Luxury Trattorias, Pizzerias and Agritourism Farms".
On Saturday 2 November, the 100 producers of Golosario 2025 that best embody the theme of the exhibition will be awarded . On Sunday 3 November, in the morning there will be the Top Hundred 2024 and Top Storici 2024, i.e. the hundred new wineries and the hundred that have already won awards in the past but have managed to stand out and renew themselves. In the afternoon, on the other hand, 'space will be given to the Botteghe d'Italia in the categories of delicatessens, delicatessen shops, cheese boutiques, taste boutiques, wine shops, ice cream parlours, pastry shops, bakeries, taste boutiques with refreshments, followed by the Contemporary Pizzerias in collaboration with Petra'. Lastly, Monday will be the day dedicated to catering with the Corone and Radiosi de Il Golosario

Lastly, for pastry, the theme will be the panettone, thanks to the presence of Iginio Massari who will be on stage at the exhibition, on Sunday 3 November at 2.30 p.m., to tell the secrets of this cake.
