Golosaria, which has now come of age, registers a significant growth in exhibitors and the move from MiCo, the exhibition space that has remained close to the city centre, to Rho Fiera: pavilion 5 will host around 450 producers (last year there were less than 300) on 17 thousand square metres of exhibition space and a programme of more than 50 events. The objective is therefore to exceed last year's 30 thousand attendances. A big jump for the annual appointment created by Paolo Massobrio who tomorrow 2 November will kick off the 19th edition (until Monday 4) dedicated to the theme "Territories, Identity and Future".
"The location is the first novelty this year," says Massobrio. The choice is consequent to the desire to offer our exhibitors and visitors a location that reflects our vision of growth and development. The theme, on the other hand, wants to place the focus on territories, because the first laboratory on quality is precisely in the territories custodians of an extraordinary and unique biodiversity. Then we talk about identity because food products are factors in the development of a sense of belonging in the various rural communities. Finally, we look to the future, because the last twenty years have shown that development stems from an awareness of this wealth'.
In the foreground there will be Lombardy, which will field the theme of the Olympic mountains and their agrifood wealth, in view of the Winter Olympics of Milan-Cortina 2026.
The protagonist is also Calabria, which renews its partnership with Golosaria and will set up a space with a selection of producers of food-and-wine specialities, wineries and mixology with the aim of promoting the deseasonalisation of tourism.
Friuli Venezia Giulia strengthens its presence thanks to the work of Promo Fvg, which will bring a circuit of virtuous producers to the fair. The Sicily will turn a special focus on Marsala and Madonie.
Dedicated to the triangulation between wine, culture and tourism is the Vino del Villaggio space, an initiative conceived by the oenologist Donato Lanati "that highlights 21 labels, but also 21 wineries and as many territories to be experienced in the name of wine and food tourism," say the organisers.
A major expansion will concern Mixo, the area dedicated to mixology and cocktails, realised in collaboration with Milan Bartender Community and Compagna dei Caraibi.
