"Today we are launching the Gemini app for iPhone, available in App Stores worldwide. Starting now, you can easily access Google's personal AI assistant directly from your iPhone, at no additional cost," writes Brian Marquardt, Director of Product Management at Gemini Experiences, in a Google blog post announcing the new launch for Apple users.

In fact, after the debut of Personalised Gem announced last August, now iPhone users can also discover and exploit the potential of Google's chatbot through a dedicated app that offers an improved interface and simplified access to tools designed to enhance learning, creativity and productivity.

From writing an e-mail message to generating stunning visuals from a single text or voice command, the new app allows iOS users to talk to Gemini Live in a conversational and fluid way by asking questions, brainstorming and, why not, coming up with new creative ideas or making study time more profitable: the chatbot developed by Google, in fact, simplifies learning as it allows users to create customised study plans and ask questions on any topic, obtain step-by-step guides to perform certain tasks or test learning through quizzes, for example, by attaching a complex diagram and asking to generate test questions from it.

Thanks to the Imagen 3 model, it can also transform text into AI images that can be shared in chats with friends or included in a work project: from astronaut hippopotamus to galaxy-themed almond-shaped nails, it can generate images with incredible detail in a matter of seconds.

Finally, it integrates seamlessly with Google apps such as Gmail, Google Maps and YouTube to find and display relevant information within a single chat.

We don't know if it will one day ever fully replace Siri, the virtual assistant developed by Apple, but iPhone users can already use it by downloading it free of charge from the App Store.
