Granarolo, turnover at 1.8 billion (+5.4%). Fabbrino new chairman succeeds Calzolari after 17 years
The new president: 'The Calzolari presidency has transformed Granarolo, making it a company that represents our best Made in Italy, appreciated in Italia and abroad'
The shareholders' meeting of Granarolo marks a handover that closes a cycle almost two decades long and opens a new phase for one of the symbols of Italian cooperation. Meeting in Bologna to approve the financial statements for 2025, the assembly sanctioned Gianpiero Calzolari's exit from the scene and the appointment as chairman of Stanislao Giuseppe Fabbrino, formerly a board member of the group and managing director of Fruttagel and Deco Industrie.
Calzolari leaves after 17 years at the helm of the company, a season marked by growth, industrial transformation and international strengthening. "These have been years of great commitment on all fronts, we have placed innovation and internationalisation at the centre, without ever forgetting the attention that responsible companies must dedicate to the territory and their community," the outgoing president emphasised, vindicating the path that has been followed.
The baton now passes to Fabbrino, a manager with long experience in operations and the cooperative world, who has been called upon to lead a company that has consolidated its industrial size in 2025. The group closed the financial year with a turnover of 1.813 billion euro, up 5.4% compared to the previous year, sustained in particular by expansion in foreign markets and price increases.
Ebitda reached EUR 100.5 million (+5.5%) and net profit EUR 5.5 million. And the distribution of a dividend of EUR 5 million was approved. Numbers that convey the image of a solid group but also committed to financial balance, with a net financial position of EUR 309.8 million. Geographically, the Italia market remains central, accounting for 60% of revenues, while foreign markets account for 40%, confirming themselves as the main growth driver.
In taking up the legacy, Fabbrino indicates a line of continuity and relaunch: "The Calzolari presidency has transformed Granarolo, making it a company that represents our best made in Italy, appreciated in Italy and abroad". He added: "Creating value by ensuring economic, environmental and social sustainability over time is the goal that a large group like Granarolo will pursue with determination in the coming years". The handover is thus part of a phase in which the group is already looking to the next industrial trajectories, including a focus on dairy, efficiency and an increase in production capacity. A transition that, in the name of continuity, redesigns the governance of one of the main players in the Italian agro-food industry.
