Key points
The Prosecutor General's Office of Milan confirms its positive opinion on the pardon of Nicole Minetti. From the investigations carried out, writes Milan's general prosecutor Francesca Nanni in a note in which she reports that today transmitted to the Ministry of Justice the results of the new analysis, "it appears that the facts reported in the press reports from which this supplementary activity originated do not correspond to the truth and that no facts have emerged that conflict with the evidentiary framework already acquired" on the application for Minetti's pardon. In essence, the public prosecutor confirmed the positive opinion on the pardon granted by the President of the Republic in February. Nanni followed the investigations with substitute magistrate Gaetano Brusa.
Pg on Minetti's pardon: 'deny statements on festivities'
According to the public prosecutor's office, there are no 'reports of offences or judicial proceedings or involvement in investigations of any kind in Uruguay and in Spain of Nicole Minetti and Giuseppe Cipriani'. The allegations about drug and sex parties attended by Nicole Minetti in recent years", as reported "to Il Fatto Quotidiano by the masseuse", have been "denied" by "numerous statements made during the defence investigation" and by "statements made to the Carabinieri by persons informed on the facts". And no 'irregularities emerged in the adoption procedure' of the minor.
In particular, the long note reads, 'contrary to what is reported in the newspaper Fatto Quotidiano, it appears that the death in unclear circumstances does not concern the adoptive child's parents' lawyer, but the latter's lawyer, in favour of adoption, in whose case there was no legal battle, as the natural parents, represented by the public defender, did not appear and the child's biological mother had always been unavailable'. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Uruguay "reported, in relation to the death of the child's legal counsel, that there are no alleged offences".
There are also 'no irregularities in the adoption procedure recognised in Italia by the Venice Juvenile Court'. And 'there are no reports of offences or judicial proceedings or involvement in investigations of any kind in Uruguay and in Spain of Nicole Minetti and Giuseppe Cipriani'. Moreover, it is 'confirmed the serious health situation of the minor being treated at the Boston Children's Hospital that requires the presence of the mother during check-ups and therapies, as well as confirmed the prior consultation at hospital facilities in Cleveland and New York, as well as in Italia'.
"Minetti's volunteering in Italia confirmed from January 2024 and throughout 2025"
And again: 'The voluntary work in Italia and the almost stable presence in Italy of Nicole Minetti from January 2024 and for the whole of 2025, unless she returns to Uruguay for short periods'. In addition, 'numerous statements made during the defence investigation, as well as the statements made to the Carabinieri by persons informed on the facts, deny the allegations of drug and sex parties attended by Nicole Minetti in recent years, allegations originally made to Il Fatto Quotidiano by the masseuse, at first anonymously and then with the indication of her name. Nanni also clarifies that 'no investigations were carried out by means of international rogatory letters as the treaty on judicial cooperation in criminal matters between Italia and Uruguay, ratified by law no. 45 of 22 April 2022, is aimed at the acquisition of evidence or evidence in the course of criminal proceedings'.
