Bonus household appliances, how it works and what to know. Consumer applications in days

The first phase of the domestic appliance bonus started last Thursday, 23 October, with the registration procedure for manufacturers. From today, Monday 27, it is the turn of sellers. Then, probably by the first week of November, the opening date for consumer applications will be announced via the IO app and the dedicated website. End users will receive an electronic voucher - in order of application and only until resources are exhausted - and will have a maximum of 15 days to use it, after which the voucher will be cancelled and the reserved resources will become available again. The Ministry for Business and the Made in Italy Industry has published the first of two expected directorial decrees. The measure, which aims to promote sustainability and energy transition, is aimed at individuals who replace obsolete household appliances. To access the subsidy, it is necessary to hand over to the seller a household appliance of the same type and lower energy class than the subsidised one, which will be correctly disposed of with a view to recycling materials. The bonus covers up to 30% of the purchase cost, with a ceiling of 100 euro per household, rising to 200 euro for households with an ISEE of less than 25 thousand euro per year. The available resources amount to over 48.1 million euro.

Prima di ottenere il voucher elettronico, che andrà utilizzato entro 15 giorni, dovranno dichiarare di essere in possesso di un elettrodomestico da sostituire con uno nuovo della stessa categoria commerciale di classe energetica superiore e andranno comunicate le informazioni sull’Isee se si intende accedere allo sconto maggiorato. Producers must submit, via Pec, an application to Invitalia, which manages the measure. The latter, once the checks have been carried out, will notify PagoPa of the names of the delegates who will be able to compile the computerised list of appliances admitted to the campaign. Once enabled, the producer will receive an email link to access the portal and upload the files with the list of products.

As far as vendors are concerned, as of 27 October they will have to join and sign the contract through the PagoPa reserved area by accessing with Spid or Cie; register at least one point of sale (physical or online) that will be included in the list that can be consulted by users on the https://bonuselettrodomestici.it website; indicate the operators of the individual points of sale and assign the credentials for access to the dedicated portal. If the vendor has an e-commerce shop window enabled, the user follows the on-screen instructions and enters the voucher code before payment. In the case of in-store purchases, the point of sale operator accesses the portal with the credentials received and then selects the product by entering the sale price and the code of the electronic voucher presented by the user. The correspondence with the associated tax code will only have to be verified if the user does not use the voucher through the IO app.
