IlSole24OreTV kicks off the new season on channel 63
Covering business and markets, as well as geopolitics, travel, the automotive sector and major international documentaries
The new season of IlSole24OreTV is now underway on channel 63 of digital terrestrial television. Since yesterday, the Il Sole 24 Ore Group’s TV channel has launched its autumn schedule, which balances the two core elements of its concept: ‘News and Passions’. Economic, financial, political and international news will be complemented by content dedicated to culture, travel, design, motoring, history and major documentaries. All this forms part of an effort to strengthen the channel’s role within the Group’s editorial ecosystem, aiming to broaden its audience by drawing on the expertise of the various editorial teams and bringing it to the small screen through a variety of styles and formats.
Daily news coverage is primarily provided by the regional news bulletins and programmes on Radio 24, and is further enhanced by ‘Il Punto’, a new live programme broadcast from the editorial offices of *Il Sole 24 Ore*, airing Monday to Friday at 12 noon. The programme will follow the development of the day’s main news stories, with in-depth analysis of economic and financial issues and a look at market trends, alongside journalists and presenters from the Radiocor agency. The programme will also feature regular segments dedicated to the Group’s various news areas: ‘Plus’ for personal finance, ‘I Conti in Tasca’ for consumer affairs, ‘Economia reale’ for business, ‘Focus’ for tax matters and ‘Macro’ for international affairs.
The news day will feature a second key programme at 8.45 pm with ‘Il Punto Sera’, dedicated to the day’s top story, presented and analysed alongside the Group’s journalists, experts and key figures from the world of economics and politics. It is the evening component of a programme line-up that continues to focus on the economy and markets – including through ‘Radiocor – Oltre i Mercati’ – whilst at the same time broadening its scope.
The schedule thus features the geopolitical focus of ‘Confini’ and the world of start-ups with ‘Stories di successo’ (broadcast on Wednesdays at 10.15 pm), whilst art, culture, fashion and lifestyle are covered in ‘HTSI Collection’ and ‘Almanacco di Bellezza Reloaded – News from the Past’, featuring a selection of the best episodes from previous series dedicated to anniversaries and events in the worlds of culture, history and beauty. The schedule also includes programmes dedicated to health and work, the automotive sector with ‘Quattroruote al Sole’, the nautical sector with ‘Yacht Design’ and golf with ‘GolfTV’.
One of the most significant changes concerns prime time. IlSole24OreTV is now featuring major international documentaries focusing on contemporary history, key figures of the 20th century and world culture. Among the titles announced are ‘JFK – The Private President’ and ‘Diana’s Decades’. Travel, nature and exploration are also featured in the schedule with ‘World’s Most Beautiful Landscapes’, which showcases some of the planet’s most spectacular landscapes, and ‘Taste the Road’, a journey through Italia via its traditions, landscapes, cultures and local flavours.
