Invitalia: support for companies, people and territories
There are more than 64,000 enterprises supported by the group in 2023. Of these, more than 4,200 are new, 40% of them created by women. In addition, there are almost 31,000 jobs that the incentives have helped to create or safeguard, 48% of them in southern Italy.

There are more than 64,000 companies supported by the Invitalia Group in 2023. Of these, more than 4,200 are new, 40% of them created by women. Almost 31,000 jobs have been created or safeguarded by the incentives, 48% of them in southern Italy. These are some of the results achieved by the group last year and contained in the new Sustainability Report, which give an account of the value generated for people, the environment, communities and territories, institutions and companies.
In 2023 there are 5.9 billion eligible subsidies
.The value of eligible subsidies has risen significantly, from EUR 4.6 billion in 2022 to EUR 5.9 billion in 2023, due to the increase in the average value of supported investments (EUR 365,000 compared to EUR 50,000 last year). The EUR 5.9 billion is broken down as follows: EUR 2.5 billion for the realisation of large investments, EUR 2.3 billion for the strengthening of the production system, EUR 419 million for the establishment of new companies, and EUR 103 million to support companies in crisis areas. Added to this is the support activity for the implementation of Ipcei (Important Projects of Common European Interest) worth EUR 662 million. The value of investments activated through the facilities is EUR 23.4 billion, of which 26% in the south of Italy. With regard to equity operations, 12 operations were implemented in 2023 through the Cresci al Sud Fund and the Fondo Salvaguardia Imprese, worth EUR 45.8 million.
Innovazione
With regard to the push for innovation, in 2023 the subsidies allowed for research and innovative investments amount to EUR 1.1 billion. Specifically: EUR 682 million for the development of microelectronics and hydrogen supply chains; EUR 372 million to support sustainable transformation and innovation processes; EUR 60 million for 122 start-ups and innovative SMEs supported by Smart&Start Italia incentives; EUR 18 million to promote patent protection (25% in Southern Italy).
Enterprise Support
.As regards support for the business world, the group injected EUR 48.3 billion of liquidity into the system, thanks to guarantees granted and subsidised loans disbursed. More specifically: EUR 21.7 billion in guaranteed liquidity credit, EUR 21.3 billion in guaranteed investments, EUR 3 billion in market-rate loans, and EUR 2.3 billion in incentives disbursed.

Under the NRP, the group supported 20 administrations in the implementation of programmes with a total value of EUR 45.7 billion.
