Istat: +2.1% industry turnover in September, +3.4% over the year
The Institute of Statistics reports positive trends in both the domestic (+1.5%) and foreign markets (+3.1%)
In September, ISTAT estimates that industry turnover, net of seasonal factors, increased in cyclical terms by 2.1% in value and 3% in volume, with positive dynamics both on the domestic market (+1.5% in value and +2.7% in volume) and on the foreign market (+3.1% and +3.4% in value and volume respectively).
For the services sector, economic growth was 1.8% in value and 1.6% in volume, with increases in both wholesale trade (+2.1% in value and volume) and other services (+1.4% in value and +1.5% in volume). Year-on-year, industry turnover, adjusted for calendar effects, increased both in value (+3.4%) and in volume (+3.5%), with marked growth on the domestic market (+4.3% in value and +4.5% in volume) and more moderate growth on the foreign market (+1.6% in value and +2.0% in volume).
For services, net of calendar effects, there was a trend increase of 4.3% in value and 3.7% in volume. In September, there were 22 working days compared to 21 in September 2024.
