After Assoutenti's 3 August request to Enac (Ente nazionale per l'aviazione civile) to publish on its website an up-to-date list of airports that allow liquids in packs larger than 100 ml to be carried in hand luggage, when asked today by Il Sole 24 Ore lenac reiterated what was announced in a note dated 27 July 2025, i.e. that as of today there are 5 Italian airports equipped to allow liquids in packages larger than 100 ml to be carried in hand luggage: Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Bologna and Turin..
"These are airports," reads the note, "that already have next-generation scanners capable of analysing the contents, including liquids, of hand luggage during security checks.
"In all other national airports, pthus - continues the Enac note - the rules that limit the transport of liquids in the cabin remain in force, i.e. they must be contained in individual containers of a capacity not exceeding 100 millilitres or equivalent, placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag of a capacity not exceeding 1 litre, and must be removed from the baggage at the time of security checks..
But in Turin...
At Torino-Caselle, the new rules on carrying liquids in hand luggage, which allow the 100 ml limit to be exceeded, apply exclusively in the Fast track priority passage. Those who do not use the Fast track, even if the airport is equipped with the new scanners, will have to continue to follow the old rules, i.e. carry liquids in containers of 100 ml maximum, contained in a one-litre transparent plastic bag.
Fast Track single pass is purchasable by passengers at a cost of 9 euros.
