Flavio Cobolli won the Bitpanda Hamburg Open, an Atp 500 tournament being held on the clay courts in Hamburg. The Italian tennis player, number 35 in the Atp ranking, beat the Russian Andrey Rublev, number 17 in the world, in two sets with a score of 6-2, 6-4 in one hour and 29 minutes of play.

For Cobolli it is the second title of his career after his victory in Bucharest last April over Sebastian Baez. For Italy it is Open title number 102, the fourth of the year after Sinner in Melbourne, Cobolli in Bucharest and Darderi in Marrakech. Cobolli assured Italy the fifth title in the history of the Hamburg tournament, whose first edition dates back to 1892. Nicola Pietrangeli won in 1960, Paolo Bertolucci in 1977, Fabio Fognini in 2013 and Lorenzo Musetti in 2022.

Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori dominated Argentina's Andres Molteni and Brazil's Fernando Romboli 6-4 6-0, and celebrated the title at the Bitpanda Hamburg Open, the Atp 500 in Hamburg. The first Italian pair to reach the final in the men's doubles tournament in the Open era, now ranked fourth in the doubles race, Bolelli and Vavassori won their sixth title together.
