"We need to reassess our assets in the region and respond to the demands of friendly countries in need. We intend to deploy a multi-domain device in the Middle East, with anti-drone and anti-missile air defence systems."
Spain will send the frigate Cristobal Colon
Spain will send the frigate Cristóbal Colón to Cyprus, accompanied by the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle and other ships of the Greek Navy. The Cristóbal Colón, reads a note from the Spanish Defence Ministry, joined the Charles de Gaulle Naval Group on 3 March to carry out escort, protection and advanced training tasks in the Baltic Sea. The group will now head towards the Mediterranean, arriving off Crete around 10 March. The supply ship Cantabria will also sail briefly to provide fuel and logistical support during the Naval Group's transit through the Gulf of Cadiz.
