Khamenei: 'If they attack us again the US will pay a high price'

In the event of renewed aggression, the US will 'pay a very high price'. This was stated in a post on X by Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. "The fact that the Islamic Republic has access to key US centres in the region and can act whenever it deems it necessary is a significant fact," Khamenei wrote. Such action can be repeated in the future.

In the message, Iran's supreme leader warned that the US "will surely pay a very high price" if it attacks Iran again. In an apparent reference to a missile attack on a US base in neighbouring Qatar, Khamenei said that "such an action can happen again in the future", adding that Iran has "access to key US centres in the region and can act whenever it deems necessary".

"If any aggression were to occur, the enemy would certainly pay a very high price," Khamenei reiterated in a televised video message.
