Kia EV2, how much the new electric baby suv costs

The EV2 completes the first part of Kia's electric road map. It is an urban suv at the base of the Korean company's native electric range for which it is strategic, as it enters the increasingly crowded arena of small battery-powered models, contrasting with, for example, the Byd Atto 2, Fiat Grande Panda and Renault Twingo.

The EV2 debuts in the standard range version powered by an electric unit with 146 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque powered by a 42.2 kWh Lfp battery that promises a range of up to 317 kilometres. In a few months the long range version will arrive with a 136 horsepower powertrain, again with 250 Nm of torque, powered by a 61 kWh Nmc battery pack with a maximum range of up to 453 kilometres.

Based on a specific declination of the 400 V E-GMP architecture designed for native electric models, the EV2 is 4.06 metres long, 1.80 metres wide, 1.58 metres high and has a wheelbase of 2.57 metres. Its styling traces those of the larger EV3 and EV9 suvs on a smaller scale, but is personalised by specific styling cues including light signatures and muscular side panels that accentuate the suv personality. It has a spacious cabin in relation to its size and is well digitised. The equipment chapter also includes advanced safety and semi-assisted driving systems for the version at the bottom of the range.

The EV2 standard range is available starting at 26,600 euro, a figure that drops to 24,000 euro at launch, in the Light trim that features a cabin approved for four people, steel wheels instead of alloy like the other versions, but offers full LED headlights, the maxidisplay that groups the instrumentation, climate control and infotainment screens and Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity. Then we move on to the €30,000 Air, which features a five-seat cabin and adds bi-zone automatic climate control, integrated navigation with route planner and Level 2 semi-assisted driving. The Earth trim, which is the most comprehensive of the EV2 standard range, is also available for the long range, which are offered at 34,000 and 38,000 euros respectively. The Earth also offers the heat pump that is on request for the Air, 18" alloy wheels instead of 16", heated steering wheel and front seats with electrically adjustable driver's seat, Harman Kardon hi-fi system. At the top of the range is the GT-line reserved for the EV2 long range, which sells for €41,000 and also offers specific exterior details and includes 19" alloy wheels, front seat ventilation, a digital key, wireless charging for smartphones and a Vehicle to Load function that allows battery power to be transferred to external devices.
