Kirk, Robinson's transgender partner possibly key to the crime
But there are two other leads to investigate. The first is an alleged note or manifesto Robinson allegedly left before the bombing and which his partner allegedly discussed online with a friend. The other is the group chat on Discord revealed by the New York Times in which Tyler, after the murder, joked in a cold and macabre way with some 20 apparently unsuspecting friends, going so far as to claim that it was his double who had done the deed

The 22-year-old Tyler Robinson may have been driven to kill the influential Maga activist Charlie Kirk on the university campus in Utah by anger against his views hostile to transgender people, such as his own partner.
It is the main, but not the only, development in the investigation into the murder that has shaken and divided America even further, where purges and dismissals continue for complacent comments towards a murder that fuelled a boom of millions of followers on the victim's social accounts.
And where security measures are being tightened due to fears of an escalation of violence. So much so as to push the White House to ask Congress for 58 million to strengthen the escorts of political leaders and judges.
Capitol Hill is also considering increasing funding to protect MPs. The first test will be next Sunday, when Donald Trump and JD Vance will participate with the entire party staff and the Maga movement in the memorial service for Kirk organised by his 'Turning Point' at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, a facility that can seat over 60,000 people.
Exceptional security measures are in place. 'The kind of person who does that to Charlie Kirk would be happy to do that to us,' the president, who has already escaped two attacks, confided to Utah Republican Governor Spencer Cox. Cox confirmed media rumours about Robinson's relationship with the roommate, who is going through the transition from man to woman. And he reported that, like the suspect's parents, friends and acquaintances, 'he is fully cooperating with investigators'. Unlike Tyler, "who has not confessed".
