Brindisi airport without aircraft fuel
Restricted reservations only for state, Sar and hospital flights. Companies are invited to refuel at the previous airport also for subsequent routes
Brindisi airport will remain fuel-free for aircraft at least until 12 noon tomorrow 7 April. This is stated in the new Notam, the aviation bulletins, issued in the last few hours.
Fuel not available
The reason for the stop is simple: as the bulletin explains, fuel is not available at that airport. The companies are therefore requested to calculate the amount of fuel sufficient from the previous airport for subsequent flight legs.
Also Reggio Calabria and Pescara with limited reserves
Limited 'quantities are available,' it says. The remaining fuel is only allowed for state, Sar and hospital flights. In addition to the airports of Milan Linate, Venice, Treviso, Bologna, two other Italian airports have limited quantities of supplies. These are Reggio Calabria, where a maximum refuelling quota is introduced, and Pescara where only a 20,000-litre tanker is available.
