by Giorgio Pogliotti and Claudio Tucci
Work incentives change and are rewritten. Bonuses for women 2.0, young people 2.0, and Zes 2.0 arrive, and are strengthened, albeit with limits. A decontribution is also introduced for employers who promote work-life balance. These are some of the new features of the Decree of 1 May, which today, barring any last-minute surprises, will be approved by the Council of Ministers. But let us proceed in order.
The Women's Bonus 2.0
Let's start with women. For the
The amount rises to EUR 800 if the worker is resident in the regions of the single SEZ for the Mezzogiorno, which are eligible for funding under the EU structural funds.
The recruitment must lead to a net increase in employment; and the employer, in order to benefit from it, must not have made any redundancies in the previous six months (in the same production unit).
The Youth Bonus 2.0
Turning to young people, the incentive that, with the recent Milleproroghe, would have expired on 30 April, is rewritten, and with a reduction (70%). It is now established that for all stable hirings of under-35s made up to 31 December 2026 a100% contribution exemption is recognised, for 24 months, of 500 euro on a monthly basis.
