(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Purchases on Leonardo - Finmeccanica , which at Piazza Affari ranks among the best stocks in the FTSE MIB . Supporting the share price was news of new orders from the Italian defence giant. Specifically, two orders from the helicopter division were announced. Firstly, the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection of Greece have ordered three AW139 helicopters from Leonardo to be delivered in 2026. The order also includes technical and logistical support and a training package.

Phi Group, on the other hand, has signed a framework agreement for 12 AW189 helicopters to support the global energy market from 2025 onwards, including orders and options, as well as collaboration in support (service and maintenance) and training. Equita's analysts estimate that 'these two orders could be worth over EUR 200 million, or about 1% of the group's 2024 order intake'. Banca Akros points out that 'Phi is a US offshore operator; clearly the agreement with Leonardo signals its intention to diversify away from the Sikorsky "S-92". We estimate that the value of the contract is around EUR 180/240 million'; while the order won in Gracia may have a 'value of around EUR 45 million'.
