First performance in Italy of the famous musical 'Les Misérables', which has been staged in London since 1985. It is a semi-staged version, which has therefore been able to tour in many countries. Italian tours of two important symphonic ensembles. The first is the London Philharmonia Orchestra, with a conductor such as Esa-Pekka Salonen, who has been at its head for thirteen years. The second is the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, which arrives with Antonio Pappano on the podium; a return to Italy after eighteen years at the head of the Orchestra di S. Cecilia, while he is now at the head of the London Symphony Orchestra.
Trieste
From 7 to 11 at the Politeama Rossetti "Les Misérables", the famous musical, original English version, in concert form; however, with stage elements, integrated video design, original costumes and orchestra. This is the first performance in Italy of this show, which has been on stage in London since 1985; since then it has also been performed in 53 other countries, and has won many awards both in London and on Broadway. With music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, song lyrics by Boublil and Natel, it is based on the novel 'Les Miserables' by Victor Hugo.

Lucca
On the 8th at the Teatro del Giglio the London Philharmonia Orchestra, conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen, of which he was principal conductor from 2008 to 2021, currently honorary conductor. The programme juxtaposes Bartók's 'Concerto for Orchestra', rich in rhythmic asymmetries and motifs inspired by the Magyar folk tradition, with Sibelius's 'Symphony No. 1', with its refined thematic elaboration.
