As the cycle of hearings by the Senate and House Budget committees continues, the calendar of work that will lead to the green light for the new budget law takes shape. On Tuesday, 11 November, the budget bill is scheduled to be submitted to the Senate Budget Committee, and the general discussion should be concluded in the following two days.
18 November is the deadline for submitting amendment proposals
By 10 a.m., unless there is a canonical postponement, on Friday 14, the political groups must submit theirproposals for amendments to the bill presented by the government. While the time for choices by the majority and oppositions is currently set for 7pm on Tuesday 18 November. By that time the so-called flagged amendments, i.e. the corrections on which the political forces are really counting, will be known. From the following day until 13-14 November, the senators will have time to debate in committee to amend, delete and or rewrite the measures of the budget law for 2026. Among these the most closely watched ones are short rentals at 26%, taxation on dividends, offsets, scrapping and pensions, to name but a few.
