The gup of Rome has remanded for trial the businesswoman Maria Rosaria Boccia, accused of aggravated stalking, injuries, illegal interference in private life against the former Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano. Also charged are the offences of defamation and false statements in the curriculum in relation to the organisation of some events. The trial has been set for next 6 October. Sangiuliano, his wife and the former chief of staff of the ministry, Francesco Gilioli, are civil parties in the proceedings.
