Marina Berlusconi: honoured to be appointed Knight, I dedicate it to my father
'I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella, and to the Council of the Order of Merit for Labour for having honoured me with this prestigious award'. This is how Marina Berlusconi comments on her nomination as Cavaliere del Lavoro. "I dedicate it to Silvio Berlusconi, my father, who has been and always will be 'il Cavaliere',' she adds. He believed in me, supported me and gave me the opportunity to do the job that I consider the most beautiful in the world, that of publisher. "For over 20 years,' he continues, 'I have had the honour of presiding over a large group like Mondadori, a true heritage of our country, which has made freedom and pluralism its raison d'être. "I therefore want to share this recognition with each of the people who work at Mondadori, and, more generally, with the people of Mediaset and the entire Fininvest group," he concluded. "My appointment today is at the same time a reward for their commitment, their energy, their passion.
