In her speech at Atreju, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni claims to have created almost 1 million jobs in two years, in line with Silvio Berlusconi's goal. Other topics discussed include the constructive approach to companies, the stability of the government, and the reduction of the spread. Meloni also criticised trade unionist Landini and responded to the accusations of PD leader Elly Schlein on healthcare. The coalition pact was also confirmed by the two deputy prime ministers Matteo Salvini (Lega) and Antonio Tajani (Fi).

Meloni: I leave Ecr presidency, we will support Morawiecki

"I accepted when I was asked to extend the term of my mandate until the elections, now that the elections have been held, I think I have fulfilled my duty and I want to announce that I am going to resign as president of the European Conservatives", a family that "deserves to have a president who can deal with it full time". Thus Prime Minister and Fdi leader Giorgia Meloni from the stage of Atreju. "We will open the candidacies, I assume that among those who will run there will also be my friend Mateusz Morawiecki and this applause, confirms that we will support you in this battle that you are leading for us too".

Meloni: loyal allies of the US regardless of who governs but happy to dialogue with conservatives

"I want to wish US President-elect Donald Trump well from this stage with just over a month to go before his official inauguration. I was quite amused to read the reconstructions and speculations about my position in the US elections. Italy and the United States are loyal allies, always have been and always will be regardless of who governs'. Thus the premier and leader of FdI, Giorgia Meloni, speaking at Atreju, the party's kermesse underway at the Circo Massimo in Rome. 'I am a right-wing woman, I have no difficulty in dialoguing with everyone if it serves Italy, but all the more reason for me to be able to dialogue with American conservatives,' Meloni added, concluding that 'the Italians have chosen me to defend the interests of the Italians. That is what I have done and that is what I will do, whoever my interlocutor is'.

Meloni: 2025 of reforms, ahead with premierate, autonomy, justice

"The coming year will be the year of long-awaited reforms, they are right we will go ahead on the premierate which is the mother of all reforms, it is not by chance that it is so feared by the Olympic champions of palace games. We will go ahead on differentiated autonomy and justice'. Giorgia Meloni told Atreju.

Meloni: 1 million jobs, Berlusconi would be proud

"In almost two years we have created almost 1 million more jobs. Silvio Berlusconi, who has made a flag of the million jobs, would be proud to know that the government he helped create has done so in two years'. So said Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in her closing speech at Atreju.

Meloni: Schlein's tongue jams to say Stellantis

'Our approach is very different from the left, we have no prejudices nor do we play favouritism, it applies to Stellantis as to other companies, if the approach is constructive we will play our part as we have done so far because when it comes to defending employment and growth you will find us in the front row, because the PD has not seen it coming'. Thus Prime Minister and Fdi leader Giorgia Meloni from the Atreju stage, stressing that "Elly Schlein's tongue jams when she has to say Stellantis".

Meloni: compact and stable majority, great discontinuity

"The stability of this government given by the compactness of its majority is the greatest element of discontinuity and the greatest element of strength in the current framework, stability guarantees international credibility and that authoritativeness without which it is not possible to produce well-being". So said Prime Minister and Fdi leader Giorgia Meloni from the stage of Atreju, thanking the allies with whom she hopes to work "for the years to come".

Spread: Meloni, increased from 233 to 112, will free up resources

"When we took office the spread was 233 basis points today it's at 112 and if our disinterested observers haven't noticed, then the rating agencies have noticed, which are not exactly, let's say, charitable bodies. It is a question of being able to use in the medium and long term an enormous amount of money that we currently pay as interest on the public debt, which is a marvellously concrete thing and would allow us to make greater investments in what are our priorities: wage increases, incentives for hiring, support for the family, and the thing that is absolutely closest to the citizens' hearts, which is health. A modern efficient widespread health care with well-paid doctors and health workers not tempted to flee abroad'. So said Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at Atreju.

Meloni: migrant centres in Albania will work

"The migrant centres in Albania will work, if I have to spend every night there from now until the end of the Italian government. Because I want to fight the mafia and I ask the whole Italian state, decent people, to help me fight the mafia. I am not the enemy, I am a decent person'. Prime Minister and FdI leader Giorgia Meloni said this from the Atreju stage, raising her voice and triggering applause from the audience.

Migrants, Meloni to magistrates: enemy is not me but mafias

"I am sure that the goal of most magistrates is to fight every mafia, even the mafia of the sea. But if we are not effective the only ones who benefit are the criminals, I want to fight the mafia and I ask the whole state and decent people to fight the mafia. I am not the enemy, I am a decent person'. So said Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in her closing speech at Atreju.

Meloni: from Iri to China Prodi knows about obedience

"Ipse dixit Romano Prodi: the establishment adores Meloni because she obeys. I would like to tell Romano Prodi that several things he has done in his life, from the sale of Iri to how Italy entered the Euro, via his decisive role in China's entry into the WTO, show that he knows a lot about obedience. From people like him we have learnt that obeying is not good for either the nation or Europe, and we have made a diametrically opposed choice'. So said the premier and leader of FdI Giorgia Meloni, from the stage of Atreju.

Strikes, Meloni: Landini does them to help the left not workers

"We understand the difficulties of Landini who is forced to raise the tone because his arguments are weak and he tries to cover it up by raising the tone and cannot tell the truth, which is that he goes on strike not to help the workers but to help the left. For a long time, however, those who help the left do not help the workers'. Giorgia Meloni told Atreju. "I have great respect for the work of trade unions and trade union rights. It is easy to distinguish truth from lies. To justify the incitement to social revolt with tones that have no precedent in the history of Italian trade unions: if we had used them the UN blue helmets would have arrived: Landini tells us that in Italy precariousness increases, employment decreases and purchasing power decreases but the numbers say exactly the opposite,' she added.

Meloni to Schlein: 'On health care the calculator serves you...'

"With this government there is the highest health allocation ever. The calculation is not difficult, it is even done without a calculator, which didn't go well last time.... The increase is 10 billion in the last two years. Before the arrival of this government, when there were those who now say we do not spend enough, the health fund had increased by 8 billion in the last four years. With what face do they say we have not done well? You need the calculator. It is not even 10 billion but 12, because those of the cohesion agreements and 750 million euro from the revision of the NRP have to be added'. This was said by the premier and leader of FdI Giorgia Meloni, from the stage of Atreju, implicitly addressing the PD secretary Elly Schlein.

Tajani to Meloni, 51% in politics, it was Berlusconi's dream

'I am convinced, dear Giorgia, that at the next general election we must give ourselves an achievable goal, which was Silvio Berlusconi's dream: to reach 51 per cent of the consensus in Italy. We can and we must do it, with our differences we must make the Italians understand that there is a vision of society, Italy and Europe'. This was said by Deputy Prime Minister and FI leader Antonio Tajani, on the stage of Atreju, addressing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, in the front row of the audience at the FdI kermesse.

Open Arms: Salvini: I go to court with my head held high, defending borders is not a crime

"On Friday, the last one before the Holy Christmas, I will also be on your behalf at the trial in Palermo for the Open Arms trial, I am going to court with my head held high, with pride, because defending the laws, the borders and the honour of a country as long as I am in the field can never be a crime for me". This was said by Matteo Salvini, host of Atreju.

Road code: Salvini to Vasco Rossi: confront those who have lost children to drugged drivers

"I have seen that Vasco Rossi has polemicised, I have been to many concerts in Milan and Rome of Vasco Rossi, I like him very much as a singer, but he is upset because he says that if one uses some drugs and then gets behind the wheel one risks something, well, I invite Vasco Rossi not to confront politics, with the minister Salvini, but to have a chat with those too many parents who have lost too many children because of those who have been driving having used drugs". So says Matteo Salvini, a guest on Atreju. 'You don't joke and you don't make controversy,' he emphasises. When the lives of young people are at stake. This is a government that has clear ideas, we are liberals, we are libertarians, everyone has their own life, they do what they want, but drugs are death, every kind of drug is always death anyway and the drug-dealing state with us in government will never get ahead. We go on until 2027 booking ourselves for 2032 with the passage through the voters'. This was said by the leader of the League, Matteo Salvini, in connection with the Atreju party.

EU: Morawiecki, let's make Europe great again, we need people like Meloni

'Today we need strong people to lead us like Giorgia Meloni'. Former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said this from the stage of Atreju, after opening his speech in Italian by quoting the Divine Comedy. 'It is time for us to start a new journey, it is time to rediscover European greatness,' he said, 'Europe is the heart of the world. Let's Make Europe Great Again', he remarked, evoking Donald Trump's slogan, 'Make America Great Again'.

Migrants: Schlein, Meloni explain to Atreju the 800mln squandered in Albania, put a face on it

"Giorgia Meloni, who today speaks at Atreju about the fabulous world of Ameloni where everything is going great, explain to the Italians why her government squandered 800 million euro of public money in Albania on an empty prison. Built to deport people to Albania in violation of their rights, which they then had to bring back to Italy. An enormous, useless, cynical waste. Of economic and human resources, because staff, who could be better employed in Italy, are instead kept there to guard the empty prison'. This was stated by the secretary of the PD, Elly Schlein. "At a time when families and businesses in Italy are struggling to make ends meet, it is unacceptable that such huge resources are being taken away from public health, from schools for this blatant propaganda on the skin of the most fragile. The Prime Minister should immediately clarify where this money has gone and why it has not been earmarked to support those who are most in need in Italy today. Put your face to it, the Italians deserve an answer,' urges the Dem leader.
