Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni surprisingly introduces Argentine President Javier Milei at Atreju, the kermesse of Fratelli d'Italia, and emphasises the importance of the free market and government restraint.

Meloni: Milei like us knows subsidies lead to abyss

Javier Milei 'is bringing a real cultural revolution in a nation that is Italy's sister, and that like us shares the idea that politics made only of subsidies leads countries towards the baratro'. This is how Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni presented Argentine President Javier Milei on stage at Atreju, the kermesse of her party, FdI. 'Like us, Milei knows that work is the only true antidote for poverty,' Meloni added, asking the audience for 'a big round of applause for the president of Argentina'.

Milei: the free market produces prosperity

'Argentines and Italians have been deeply united for many generations. That is why here, more than among friends, I feel that they are family'. So said the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, speaking from the stage of Atreju in Rome, whose audience greeted him with the cry: 'Freedom, Freedom, Freedom'. "In our government we adhere to a set of un-negotiable principles, which is that the free market produces prosperity for all, that government must be limited, that Argentines know better than a bureaucrat how to produce, who to employ and with whom to trade. And on security we argue that those who make them pay for them. To sum up, we defend life, liberty and private property,' the president of Argentina told Atreju.

Milei: the right is united, we are better than the left

"The right must fight united like a phalanx of hoplites or like a Roman legion, where no one breaks formation. We are better than the left in everything,' Argentine President Javier Milei said while attending the Atreju rally. Milei then emphasised his 'admiration for ancient Rome that does not come from now but from many years ago'. The Argentine president closed his speech at Atreju by shouting his now well-known slogan 'Viva la liberta, carajo!' ('Long live freedom, damn it!') several times from the stage. The audience in the hall responded by applauding to the cry of 'Freedom'.
