Michelin Guide Italy, here are the 16 new Bib Gourmands

Sixteen new Michelin Bib Gourmands: this is the anticpation provided by the 'Rossa' in view of the presentation of the 70th edition of the world's most eagerly awaited Guide, which will unveil new stars and 'shooting stars' on 5 November in Modena.

The Bib Gourmand, or the smiling face of the Michelin Man licking his moustache, is the pictogram that indicates a restaurant that offers a pleasant gastronomic experience, with a full menu 'at an excellent value for money'.

"Among the new entries, 9 out of 16 are restaurants that were selected and included in the Guide," explain Michelin, "during the course of the year and which now receive the distinction of Bib Gourmand. Value for money is certainly an essential element in the selection, but priority is given to the passion for the table that creates the atmosphere of Bib Gourmand restaurants, where recipes are often inspired by tradition.

"Among the new additions to the 2025 selection," announces Sergio Lovrinovich, director of the Michelin Guide Italy, "we find the Ronchi Rò in Dolegna del Collio, an ancient farmstead located on the Slovenian border, which offers cuisine inspired by the traditional dishes of the region and promotes local artisan producers and suppliers. Then, in Podenzano, we find the Ostreria Fratelli Pavesi, which offers traditional Piacenza dishes sometimes with a modern twist while, in Teramo, we find the international cuisine of Oishi, which combines Japanese cuisine with Mediterranean products. Finally, Bro's Trattoria in Scorrano, Lecce, where the must is the wood-burning oven in which almost all the specialities on the daily menu are baked: strictly traditional recipes, to be accompanied by pucce salentine, the typical local bread, and excellent starters'.

Emilia Romagna is the leader in this category with 33 risoranti, followed by Piedmont (31) and Lombardy (25).
