Jumping and Nordic combined athletes tested for the first time the Predazzo Ski Jump, a strategic work for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games. The infrastructure, consisting of two ski jumps, 260 and 290 metres long, was also financed by MIT with 10 million euro. Satisfaction of the vice-president of the Council and minister, Matteo Salvini, for this goal that confirms the commitment to modern and innovative infrastructures at the service of sport and the country. On Monday 14 July 2025, the Azzurri, led by Annika Sieff from Fiemme, inaugurated the new ski jumps HS143 and HS109, respectively 290 and 260 metres long, which were renovated thanks to the investments for the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games managed by the Autonomous Province of Trento in conjunction with the State and the municipalities involved.
Fugatti: 'Thanks to the athletes'
."Thanks to the athletes for their exciting performance, but also to all those who have worked hard to modernise these facilities, which are fundamental for Trentino's participation in the 2026 Winter Games," said the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti. "Today is a proud day for the sport of Val di Fiemme and of the entire Trentino region, as well as for the Olympic and Paralympic world.
We touch with our hands the ability of our territory to ground the interventions for the 2026 Winter Games, a commitment that comes from afar, in the will to believe in the great Olympic and Paralympic event. Let us remember that interventions for an updated value in the order of 450 million have been put in place, of which about 315 million are resources coming from the State. But these investments are also important for afterwards, for the next important events that will involve Trentino, starting with the 2028 Winter Youth Games".
Fugatti, Trentino construction sites are running well
."After yesterday's inauguration in Predazzo of the new Olympic ski jumps, today in Venice we shared with the Foundation, CONI, IOC and President Malagò the overall picture of the interventions. Trentino is running well, with worksites that are proceeding rapidly: from the new facilities in Predazzo to the Olympic pavilion, from the facilities in Tesero to the organisation of hospitality, everything is proceeding according to the predefined projects'.
