Brescia reached. The 42nd commemoration of the Freccia Rossa ended with the arrival of the long line of cars in the Lombardy city, where they had started on Tuesday. More than two thousand kilometres have been covered, passing through enchanting cities in Italy and stirring the passion that people of all ages feel for four-wheelers. From the oldest pre-war cars to the 'youngest' of the 1950s, they all left a trail of admiration and contemplation, bringing back childhood memories or intriguing the younger ones.
The fifth stage, the one from Bologna to Brescia, was truly exciting. It may have been the sun that warmed the day or the beautiful landscapes of the Po Valley and Lake Garda, but it certainly made its own the warmth that Italians and foreigners transmitted as the cars passed through the cities.
Long lines of people greeted the cars in Ferrara, Bovolone and Villafranca di Verona. Hundreds of thousands of people in Sirmione, Desenzano del Garda, Valtenesi and Salò. It was a unique stage made unforgettable by the warmth of the people who watched the cars pass by from everywhere, even standing at the side of the road or at petrol stations. A parade that seemed to celebrate the heroes who in five days travelled over two thousand kilometres, 2,032.97 to be exact, starting from Brescia and passing through Turin, Viareggio, Rome and Bologna (as well as numerous other cities and towns) before returning to the Lombard city.
The arrival on the platform in Viale Venezia in Brescia was celebrated by the presence of numerous authorities who congratulated the crews.
We would like to remind you that crews from 33 nations (Italy was the country with the largest number of competitors) took part in this edition, aboard cars of which as many as 71 took part in the historic 1000 Miglia di velocità.
About the AMG GT 63 and AMG A45 S
.They are sports cars but also cars suitable for travelling. The two examples of the three-pointed star that we drove for over two thousand kilometres are super sports cars but also cars suitable for travelling long distances. The AMG GT 63 proved to have plenty of roominess and a boot capacity of 321 litres, a feather in the cap for such a car. While the AMG A45 S amazed with its on-board comfort and consumption on a mixed route (9.6 litres per 100 km) despite its 421 hp.
