The four men accused of organisingthe Moscow concert hall attack killing more than 140 people appeared before a Moscow court on Sunday on terrorism charges, showing signs of heavy beatings. One appeared to be barely conscious during the hearing.
They are Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, 32; Saidakrami Rachabalizoda, 30; Shamsidin Fariduni, 25; and Mukhammadsobir Faizov, 19. They are accused of committing a terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow. The offence carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
Who are the four suspects
.Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev is a citizen of Tajikistan with four children, according to state news agencies. Mirzoyev pleaded guilty. A second man, who had a large bandage on his ear, also pleaded guilty. His name is Rajabalizod Saidakrami, 30 years old. The other two suspects are Shamsidin Fariduni, 25, a migrant worker who works in a factory in Podolsk, Moscow region, and Muhammadsobir Faizov, 19, who works as a hairdresser in the city of Ivanovo, central Russia north-east of Moscow.
Who confessed
.According to Russian investigators, two of the suspects accepted their guilt in the attack. However, the condition of the men leaves doubt as to whether they were speaking freely. There have also been conflicting reports in the Russian media: according to other versions, three or all four men have pleaded guilty.
The Basmannyy District Court in Moscow ordered that the men, all identified by the media as citizens of Tajikistan, be held in custody until 22 May pending investigation and trial.
