Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena made it known that Fabrizio Palermo, independent director and member of the committee for transactions with related parties, resigned from his position late yesterday evening, effective immediately, as he did not agree with the recent decisions regarding Governance.

In recent days, Carlo Vivaldi, another representative of the board list, had been declared disqualified for failing to resign as a director of Banca Mediolanum.
