Mundys strengthens in Getlink, purchase of up to 9.5% of the share capital

Mundys today announces the strengthening of its strategic position in Getlink through the acquisition of a stake of up to 9.5 per cent of Getlink's share capital. A first tranche, amounting to 3.5% of Getlink's share capital, will be acquired immediately. Mundys will also have the option to acquire up to a further 6.0%, subject to obtaining the required regulatory approval, which is expected by April 2026.

Following the acquisition of 3.5% of Getlink's capital, Mundys will hold 19.0% of the company's capital and up to 24.9% of the voting rights, thus confirming its position among the group's major shareholders. Subject to obtaining the required regulatory approval, Mundys will have the right to increase its stake in Getlink to 25.0% of the share capital and up to 29.9% of the voting rights.

The transaction "confirms Mundys' long-term commitment, initiated in 2018, to support Getlink, its management, its employees and its long-term development strategy. It is also part of Mundys' strategy to reinforce its investments in France, a European country of primary importance to which the Group attaches strategic value and in which it has been present in the infrastructure sector for more than ten years, adopting an approach of close cooperation with local stakeholders and institutions," reads a note from the group.

Mundys may, depending on market conditions, further increase its shareholding, without any intention of assuming control or requesting the appointment of further members to the board of directors.
