The Ris carabinieri, commissioned by the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office, are in the Poggi house with laser scanners and drones. The aim of the investigators, according to Tg1, is to reproduce in 3D the interior and exterior of the house in Garlasco where Chiara Poggi was killed in 2007, reconstruct the trajectory of the blood traces and the dynamics of the murder.
According to investigators, the Ris' activity would not be a surprise inspection, but a planned activity, so much so that the inspection would have been notified to the parties some time ago. The inspection order is being carried out by the Carabinieri of the Milan Investigative Nucleus, delegated to the investigations coordinated by the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office on the new line of investigation on the murder of Chiara Poggi, which sees as the only suspect, at the moment, Andrea Sempio.
Scheduled operation
."We were told about this investigation, it was presented to us as a site inspection and we have no right to participate, as it is an activity of the Prosecutor's Office". This was explained by lawyer Francesco Compagna, one of the Poggi family's lawyers. The lawyer clarified that, from what we can understand, 'the carabinieri will carry out measurements, surveys to reconstruct the crime scene, including the trajectories of the blood traces'. In fact, since 18 years have passed, it is difficult for them to search for objects or biological material of the time.
Pm, 'surveys and photos to ascertain crime traces'
."Having to ascertain the traces and other material effects' of the murder of 13 August 2007, 'it is necessary to proceed with an inspection of the property in Via Pascoli 8' where Chiara Poggi's parents live 'by carrying out measurements at the property with the use of appropriate technical instruments', i.e. laser scanners and drones. This is written in black and white by the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office, which has instructed the Ris to carry out measurements in the cottage. A request that comes with the new investigation against Andrea Sempio, a friend of the victim's brother, who is under investigation for the murder. For the investigators, the new investigation also includes 'photographic surveys of the premises in order to verify the circumstances indicated above and, in particular, the current state of the building'.
Andrea Sempio's lawyer Angela Taccia is also participating, as defence counsel, in the so-called 'inspection of the places', i.e. in the activities of the Ris carabinieri, to reconstruct the trajectory of the blood traces, the crime scene and the dynamics of the murder, with measurements, the use of laser scanners and drones and photographic surveys. The ascertainment was, in fact, also communicated to the defence of the new suspect in the investigation into the murder 18 years ago, for which Alberto Stasi was definitively sentenced. No notification, on the other hand, has so far been received by the Poggi family's lawyers, who had in any case been notified of this activity. "I have no idea what they are doing or looking for, you can't understand anything," lawyer Massimo Lovati, Sempio's other lawyer, confined himself to saying.
