Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are asking Americans who are "pro-small government revolutionaries with a high IQ" and willing to work more than 80 hours a week to join their new Department of Government Efficiency, without pay. "We don't need more part-time idea generators. We need small-government revolutionaries with super-high IQs willing to work 80+ hours a week for unglamorous cost-cutting," reads a post on X.
"If this is you, send a private message to this account with your CV. Elon and Vivek will review the top one per cent of applicants," the announcement continued. In a separate post, Musk commented: 'Actually, this will be a boring job, it will create a lot of enemies and the compensation is zero. What a great deal!" he wrote with a laughing emoji.
