'Never regretted it, but bureaucracy suffocates me'

A typical day?

I start at eight o'clock in the morning with the first phone calls from patients, then I go to the clinic at 10 a.m. and stay until 2 or 3 p.m., then maybe I add a home visit if necessary. And then there is all the bureaucracy.

How many hours does it weigh?

It takes at least two hours a day. What weighs down are fulfilments such as forms for chronic patients or forms for activating home care, renewal of treatment plans and prescriptions to be repeated, and so many other forms that the local health authorities ask us for, from the supply of nappies to other supplies.

Pentent?

No, rather disappointed because I see that it is a profession that is losing so much because compared to the workload and the responsibility that comes with it, it is not adequately remunerated also because at the end of the day we work from eight in the morning until 2o and half of our income goes away between costs and taxes. We thus risk burn out.

Would you go to a community house?

For me it is impossible. I have almost no time left for personal life and I still don't have children. I am also against dependency, better the freelance contract.
