Nissan Micra becomes exclusively electric with the arrival of the sixth generation. Built in France alongside the Renault 5 E-Tech, with which it shares a long list of details starting with the AmpR platform, it will arrive in dealerships with two battery sizes with a range of over 415 kilometres.

The interior of the Nissan Micra confirms the close link with the Renault 5 E-Tech, with a very similar dashboard characterised by two screens, both 10.1-inch, facing the driver. Among the customisations is the Fuji mount profile inserted in the glove compartment between the front seats, an unusual detail for a car built in euroa. The multimedia system, clearly derived from Renault OpenR Link cons Android operating system that integrates services and Google Apodi. The integrated suite includes Google Maps, to find your favourite places and points of interest, with maps that are always updated in real time, Google Assistant / Gemini, which uses voice commands to control certain functions such as air conditioning, heated seats, manage the navigator or make phone calls, and Google Play.

Two different batteries are coming under the new Nissan Micra. Either 40kWh or 52 kW, with the former coupled to a 122 hp and 225 Nm unit, giving a range of 317 km. The 52 kW one, on the other hand, powers a 150 hp and 245 Nm engine and claims a range of 416 km. On the DC recharging front, the 40 kWh battery provides 80 kW, while the 52 kW battery provides 100 kW. With the 100 kW DC charger for the 52 kWh battery (80 kW for the 40 kWh battery) the battery level goes from 15% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Both batteries are also equipped with a heat pump and a heating and cooling function to increase charging efficiency. In addition, it is equipped with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology, which can use the battery to power external devices.

How much does a new Nissan Micra cost?

But how much does the new electric Nissan Micra cost? The Japanese compact car starts at a list price of just under 30,000 euro (29,500 euro) for the Engage trim in combination with the smaller 40 kWh battery and rises to 31,500 euro for the Advance version. The same trim in combination with the 52 kWh battery is offered at 34,400 euro, while the top-of-the-range Evolve version is on sale for 36,400 euro.
