Nissan updates X-Trail, the big suv for families
Sold more than 8 million units in 25 years, it has also transformed itself over time from a hardcore SUV to an electrified crossover. With the 2026 restyling, what has changed is the front end, the alloy wheels and the expected power. The e-Power hybrid technology is combined with the e-Orce system offering all-wheel drive.
The X-Trail, Nissan's largest suv, is relaunched with the 2026 restyling that includes several new styling, technological and equipment features, with the full hybrid e-Power combined with the e-force system that adds all-wheel drive as the central engine in the range. Measurements and proportions are unchanged for a length that remains just under 4.70 metres, the 7 seats available and the new design changes the front. The ideal solution for families.
Diamond wheels and mirrors that improve the car's impact
The exterior design of the new X Trail is more contemporary. The redesigned front fascia incorporates the classic V-Motion grille that is much wider as well as more linear, while new 19-inch diamond alloy wheels and gloss black details on the bumpers, wheel arches and side mirrors enhance the car's impact. Two new colours, Universal Blue and Baja Storm, are also available in two-tone configurations, while full LED rear lights renew the model's lighting signature.
Interior in sturdier mode and optional synthetic leather
The interior has been designed to combine robustness and refinement. The dashboard employs new materials, including brown quilted leather and wood inlays, while a high-quality synthetic leather option increases customisation possibilities. Both the front and rear seats are heated, as is the steering wheel, while three-zone climate control and a display in the centre of the dashboard offering 12.3-inch infotainment enhance functionality.
N-Trek, the version intended for the most extreme car use
The N-Trek version, designed for more extreme use, also adds red details in the bumpers, logos and contrast stitching, as well as special wheels, black roof bars and protective surfaces on the lower bumpers.
The large panoramic roof in electric mode further increases interior brightness, while new, more resistant materials protect the passenger compartment from both mud and even water when used on adventurous tracks.
