"Abolishing the Jobs Act means taking a leap into the past. At a time when companies are deciding where to go, it seems anachronistic to us at a time when workers are choosing the companies where to work'. This was said by the president of Confindustria Emanuele Orsini, during the recording of 'Five minutes' to be aired on Rai 1. "It has existed for ten years, now different considerations are needed: work and the economy are changing, new technologies such as AI are entering. We should sit around a table right now to talk about these topics,' he adds.

Orsini: table needed to find way out, no retroactive measures

The Superbonus 'I also supported it, because at its inception it was different, it underwent 22 changes. The truth is that we cannot think of having retroactive measures because there would be a lack of trust between companies and institutions'. This was stated by the president of Confindustria, Emanuele Orsini, during the programme to be aired this evening on Rai 1. "We need to build a table to find a way out. We can build a vehicle that can in any case buy the credits and perhaps with government bonds we can spread it out over time. Obviously we will give the state more time to be able to pay it,' Orsini adds.

Stellantis, Orsini: we hope it will honour Pact with Country, why not second producer?

"We hope and wish that the pact between Stellantis and the country will remain so that the one million cars can be built here, but why not: if a second manufacturer were to come and build in the country, also bringing technological innovations, using our supply chains that are recognised as excellence throughout the world, why not. We need to increase productivity and boost production,' says Confindustria president Emanuele Orsini.

Orsini: key issue is legal certainty

'Confindustria at this time has a great need: to have a strong dialogue with its territories, a very strong identity to bring its demands and a strong unity that we have managed to put back together as a system, and one of the fundamental themes on which all our action will be based is legal certainty, which will be the safeguard of our companies,' Orsini emphasises.

Nuclear, Orsini: central issue for competitiveness, constant energy needed

"I think it is one of the central issues that we will put to the government, for us it is national security, it is an issue of competitiveness, the energy mix is fine, but we have realised that with renewable sources we will not be able to have constant energy, we are paying 86 euros per megawatt hour for energy compared to 14 euros in Spain, we need competitiveness not only within Europe, but also towards the outside, to do this we need constant energy, so a safe nuclear power of the latest generation, then we will see if it will be 100 megawatt hours or 400, but it must be in support.
