Reduced-price houses for new hires, to encourage mobility and make work in industry attractive: this is the plan Confindustria is discussing with the government. "I hope that at least the tax part, which is a contribution that only applies to first hires, will already be in this year's budget law," said Confindustria president Emanuele Orsini in his speech at the kermesse 'La Piazza, il bene comune' organised by 'Affari Italiani' in Ceglie Messapica (Brindisi). On the plan, which also envisages the possibility of urban recoveries, there is already a table with two ministries - Mimit and Mef - and with banks, insurance companies, real estate funds and Cdp.
Orsini: a plan for low-cost housing for young hires
The topic was addressed by talking about the need for companies to be attractive. We need 'housing at a sustainable cost,' said Orsini, 'not only for those coming from abroad, but also for those moving from one city to another. We have started asking and talking to the government, and also to the secretary of the Democratic Party'. The project has a more fiscal part 'because putting a building plan on the ground would take 2-3 years'. But also urban regeneration projects, as is being planned in some areas of the city of Parma. "We think that we can give lowered rents that do not exceed 500 euro, which is around 25 per cent of the salary,' added Orsini, 'and to do this we are building guarantees with banks, patient funds, Cdp, our real estate funds, insurance companies. Then we are mapping the territory'. For industries,' Orsini explained, 'this is an investment, but if you start a credit line for this you run the risk of not having it for production: hence the need to also involve financial players.
"We must start talking about nuclear power again"
.
The Confindustria leader also spoke about energy. And he did so by emphasising the need to 'increase Italy's energy autonomy. So renewables are welcome, but the mix of energy sources is the way'. This is why 'we have, without ifs and buts, to start talking about nuclear power again, because if we start talking about it today we will be ready in 11-12 years'. Also by hosting 'microreactors in theour companies.
