Union Lido Mare and Camping Village Europa Silvella: Italy shines at the European Camping Oscars

The Camping Village Europa Silvella in the province of Brescia was awarded the prize in the category 'Best family campsite abroad' because it is located directly on the shores of Lake Garda and is a five-star oasis for camping enthusiasts. Olive trees and oleanders provide shade for the lakefront pitches and elegant mobile homes while guests have three swimming pools with slides, a pebble beach and a marina at their disposal, as well as a wide range of leisure activities from tennis to children's clubs. In the evenings, Italian specialities and live entertainment are served under the stars.

The Union Lido Mare, in the province of Venice, was awarded in the category 'Innovation and Progress'. It is a historic resort that over the course of 70 years has been able to renew itself to anticipate guests' demands.

Among its novelties are Speedy Island, a revolutionary water park designed and built especially for Union Lido.

At the heart of this innovation is the Body River, a canyoning-inspired body rafting adventure, a thrilling journey through rapids, waterfalls and pools alternating moments of calm and high adrenaline.
