Osteopathy, OK to agreement on prior qualifications: full recognition of the profession approaching

In a note, the National Federation of the Associations of Technical, Rehabilitation and Prevention Health Professions expresses its full satisfaction with the approval at the State-Regions Conference of the agreement with the criteria for the recognition of prior qualifications and professional experience for the purposes of exercising the health profession of Osteopath.

A crucial stage in a process that began in 2018, with the establishment of Law 3, which defined the perimeter, competences and responsibilities of the health professions, operating in our country.

'The agreement reached in the State-Regions Conference,' says Diego Catania, President of Fno Tsrm and Pstrp, 'responds to the request for clarity that the professional category of Osteopaths had been waiting for a long time. The measure recognises the training and skills acquired in the field for many qualified professionals, enhancing the commitment and seriousness with which they have built their professional careers'.

The document approved yesterday lays down the rules that will allow Osteopaths who have already been trained to formally enrol in the Special Lists of the Osteopathic Profession, which will be set up at the Tsrm and Pstrp Orders.

'This is an important milestone,' adds Catania, 'both for Osteopaths, who will be definitively included in the regulated context of the health professions, and for citizens, who will be able to count on a reference regulatory framework, in line with the principles established by the healthcare system.
